The Muscle Car Cruisers of Alberta collaborated to organize a charitable event

The Calgary Shriners and the Muscle Car Cruisers of Alberta collaborated to organize a charitable event on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Calgary Shrine Centre. The purpose of this event was to collect gifts for children receiving treatment at the Alberta Children's Hospital. The muscle car enthusiasts displayed their vehicles and used the opportunity to garner support for the hospital, which is part of the Shriners Hospitals for Children network that provides complimentary medical care across North America.

Evan Schmitke, the potentate (president) of Al Azhar Shriners of Alberta, highlighted the significance of the event, stating that it was a beautiful car show under the favorable Alberta sun. The event aimed to not only raise awareness about the hospital's mission but also to provide some joy to the children through the collected gifts. The Shriners Hospitals for Children is known for its specialized care in various medical fields, and the Calgary Shrine Center is one of the 22 hospitals within this network.
