Minister, Julie Dabrusin, to demonstrate a commitment to work collaboratively with the Alberta government and industry stakeholders to support our critical energy sector and ensure that Alberta's voice is heard on environmental and economic matters. The future of our province depends on a strong and constructive relationship with the federal government, and it is crucial that this relationship be based on mutual respect and understanding of our shared goals for a prosperous and sustainable Canada.

The appointment of an environment minister who has a history of advocating for policies that could harm our oil and gas sector is disheartening, and it raises concerns about the federal government's true intentions towards Alberta. The challenges we face are complex and require a balance between environmental stewardship and economic growth. Albertans are innovative and responsible stewards of our natural resources, and we are ready and willing to be part of the solution to Canada's environmental challenges.

I urge the new federal cabinet to recognize the importance of Alberta's role in the national economy and to engage with us in a way that acknowledges our contributions and respects our provincial jurisdiction. It is only through open dialogue and collaboration that we can achieve a true nation-building approach to environmental policy that supports job creation, investment, and prosperity in Alberta and across the country.

In the spirit of unity and progress, I stand ready to work with Prime Minister Carney and his team to ensure that Alberta's interests are protected and advanced. We await the federal government's actions that will indicate whether they are truly committed to a new era of cooperation or if they will continue down the path of division and obstruction.

The ball is in Ottawa's court. Let's see if they are willing to play fair.
