Alberta Premier : I accepted the resignation of the Honourable Ric McIver @

Last evening, I accepted the resignation of the Honourable Ric McIver @RicMcIver from his role as Minister of Municipal Affairs. I appreciate Ric's dedication and efforts towards his constituents and the people of Alberta. Joseph Schow, Alberta's Minister of Tourism and Sports and Government House Leader, will assume the responsibilities of Interim Minister of Municipal Affairs until a new minister is designated. Minister Schow will be accessible to municipalities across the province as they manage the challenges posed by the wildfire season.

I have every confidence in Minister Schow's ability to provide guidance and support to our municipalities during this critical period. His experience in navigating complex issues and fostering collaboration will be invaluable in ensuring the continued delivery of essential services to Albertans. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ric once again for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. As we move forward, our government remains committed to supporting the well-being and prosperity of all Albertans, and I am confident that Minister Schow will play a key role in achieving this goal.
