- Black Market: Black marketers are taking advantage of the situation, selling fuel at high prices, up to N1,300 per liter and N1,500 per liter in parts of Lagos and Ogun states.
- NNPC Response: The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has stated that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution is due to a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels, and they are working to resolve the situation.
- Vessel Berthing: 16 ships, including two petrol vessels, are awaiting berthing at Lagos ports, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority.
