Numerous Casualties Anticipated as Armed Attack Strikes Another Community in Otukpo

A significant number of individuals are feared to have lost their lives following an armed assault on Emichi village within the Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria  on Wednesday.

The attackers reportedly stormed the village around 2:00 p.m., indiscriminately firing at residents. In the ensuing chaos, locals fled in terror, as there were no security personnel present to intervene during the attack.

This incident took place less than a day after a similar assault in Otobi-Akpa resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals, attributed to suspected herdsmen.
