Troops Eliminate Two Terrorists, Dismantle Camps in Taraba In a recent operation, two terrorists were killed and several others sustained gunshot injuries during a fierce confrontation between the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke and the militants in the Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.

This operation is part of the ongoing campaign to eliminate criminal elements from the region, known as Operation Lafiyan Jama'a. The information was released on Tuesday by Captain Olubodunde Oni, the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations for the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army. "On April 14, 2025, acting on reliable intelligence, our troops rapidly responded to reports of suspected bandits moving between Mayokan and Bondogri villages in Bali Local Government Area. The troops tactically advanced into the area and engaged the bandits near Garbatau, Garin Hamidu, Bandaguri, and Mayokan villages," the statement detailed.

"A fierce exchange of gunfire occurred, resulting in the neutralization of two terrorists, with several others fleeing with gunshot wounds," it added. Recovered from the scene were an AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a single-barrel dane gun, 27 arrows, and six cutlasses.
