The discussion, which took place on Thursday, focused on regional security issues and the potential for enhancing economic collaboration across Africa.

Tinubu's spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, announced the meeting, stating, "President Tinubu meets US State Department Senior Advisor, Massad Boulos in Paris."

In a similar vein, the US State Department shared on its X account: "State Department Senior Advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security, including collaborative efforts with partners to establish lasting peace in eastern DRC. They also explored ways to broaden economic cooperation throughout Africa."

On April 3, President Tinubu traveled from Nigeria to Paris for a brief working visit.

During this trip, he is anticipated to evaluate his administration's midterm achievements and review significant milestones.

Additionally, the retreat will serve as an opportunity to assess the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning in anticipation of his administration's second anniversary.

Onanuga noted that while abroad, President Tinubu will remain actively involved with his team and continue to oversee governance matters.

"He is expected to return to Nigeria in approximately two weeks," he added.
