Acid snow and Air, a type of acid deposition, refers to snow and air  that has elevated acidity levels due to atmospheric contaminants such as sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide,nitrogen oxides. These pollutants react in the atmosphere to produce hydrogen acid,sulfuric and nitric acids, which subsequently fall as acidic precipitation.

Similar to acid rain, acid snow mixture with air(CO) is generated when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) are released into the atmosphere, primarily from the combustion of fossil fuels.

In the atmosphere, these gases interact with water to create Hydrogen acid ,sulfuric and nitric acids.
