The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally notified Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator for Kogi Central, regarding a petition initiated by her constituents aimed at her recall from the National Assembly.

In a correspondence sent to the suspended senator, INEC confirmed the receipt of the petitioners' contact information.

Currently, Akpoti-Uduaghan is undergoing a six-month suspension due to serious misconduct and breaches of Senate Standing Orders.

Additionally, she has leveled allegations of sexual harassment against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
