Two illegal laboratories shut down and three individuals apprehended.

2025 – RCMP Federal Policing — Eastern Region has successfully dismantled two illegal pill production laboratories located in a residence in St-Lin-Laurentides and a commercial site in Sorel. This operation, initiated on March 19, resulted in the seizure of 1.5 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine and over 200,000 pills, which included:

- 180,000 pills believed to be steroids
- 20,000 pills suspected to be methamphetamine
- 8,000 counterfeit Xanax pills

Additionally, law enforcement confiscated more than $27,000 in cash, along with substantial amounts of chemicals, precursors, and excipients. Three pill presses and other advanced equipment intended for large-scale production were also taken. Searches were conducted at two other residences in Mirabel and Contrecœur, as well as four vehicles during the operation.

The investigation led by the Clandestine Lab Enforcement and Response Team resulted in the arrest of three suspects. They were interviewed by investigators and subsequently released while awaiting further legal action. They may face charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, including production and possession of controlled substances with the intent to traffic.
