Sadly, Mark Carney backed out of debating
Pierre Poilievre in French, after committing to do so hours earlier? With the threat of tariffs looming, we need a PM who's not afraid of tough debates or negotiations.

Entering a French debate after 21 hours of French lessons was one of the scariest things I've done in my life.

However, I needed to do it to honour Francophones, ensuring they know that anyone running to lead this country recognizes the essential need to communicate in both French and English. I needed to do it out of love and duty to country – a duty to which anybody wishing to lead Canada is expected to rise!
