Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah "Mina" Pangandaman, the sole female member of the nation's economic team and the only Filipina Muslim in President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.'s Cabinet, presented her Women's Month message during the flag-raising ceremony at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

In her address, she highlighted that economic empowerment goes beyond mere financial independence, encouraging women to take on leadership roles, drive innovation, and influence national development.

Secretary Pangandaman also pointed out the progress the Philippines has made in reducing gender inequalities and promoting inclusive governance, stating that gender inequality is not solely a women's issue but a societal challenge that impacts everyone. She urged for united efforts to enhance women's representation in decision-making processes.

Undersecretary Raul T. Vasquez, who oversees the DOJ's Gender and Development and Special Protection Office (GSPO), along with other DOJ officials, expressed their appreciation to Secretary Pangandaman for attending the event and for her role in acknowledging the accomplishments of women in the country.
