Calgary Man Arrested After RCMP Seizes 1kg of Cocaine Near Regina .

A 41-year-old man from Calgary faces cocaine trafficking charges following a traffic stop on Highway 1, west of Regina. The Saskatchewan RCMP reported that they confiscated one kilogram of cocaine during the stop that occurred around 11:30 a.m. on March 18. According to an RCMP press release, officers, with the help of a police service dog, discovered the cocaine hidden inside the vehicle.

The man, who was apprehended at the scene, informed the RCMP that he was en route from Alberta to Manitoba. He has been charged with one count of trafficking cocaine and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He is set to appear in Regina Provincial Court on May 29, as stated by the RCMP.
