Emergency crews were responding to a collision in Calgary's Beltline early Tuesday morning.

Authorities reported that the crash occurred just before 5 a.m. at 1437 17 Avenue SW, involving two vehicles—one collided with the Top Dollar Pawn building, while the other overturned. Police stated that one person was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, and another individual was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Traffic disruption in the area is anticipated to be minimal; however, the intersection of 14 Street and 17 Avenue SW has been closed in all directions since 6:30 a.m. Officials are currently assessing the building for structural safety. This is an ongoing story.
