Operatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully intercepted cocaine hidden within prayer beads and locally crafted shoes.

The agency reported that the suspects were apprehended while attempting to smuggle these illegal substances into the Holy Land.

Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the agency, shared this information in a statement that included images of the seized contraband.

The statement noted, "Narco-trend update: During this sacred month when individuals are dedicating themselves and offering prayers to their God, some individuals were focused on hiding cocaine within prayer beads and locally made shoes, thereby tarnishing the sanctity of the holy land during this revered period."
