In the past five days, Ghana's President, John Dramani Mahama, has traveled to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger to facilitate the restoration of relations between the Sahel countries and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

He assured that he would convey the Sahel nations' concerns regarding their exit from ECOWAS at the forthcoming summit.

Both Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara and Mahama advocate for the Sahel nations' reintegration into ECOWAS.

What are your thoughts on the potential benefits of Burkina Faso rejoining ECOWAS?
