On March 11, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, the Dauphin RCMP performed a wellbeing check at a location on 6th Avenue NE in the town of Dauphin.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 29-year-old male who had sustained serious injuries and reported that he was being held against his will. Six other individuals present in the residence, comprising five males and one female, were arrested without any incidents.

The injured individual was transported to the hospital by EMS for medical treatment.

Following a thorough investigation by the Dauphin RCMP in collaboration with the Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), a search warrant was executed at the residence.

During the search, officers confiscated over 78 grams of methamphetamine, 8 grams of cocaine, several firearms, and Canadian currency.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to weapons and trafficking:

• Joseph Ferland-Ironstand, 30, from Dauphin 
• Carl Gabriel, 24, from Dauphin 
• Sherri Huntinghawk, 36, from Dauphin 
• Dean Levasseur, 37, from Dauphin 
• Lane Miller, 26, from Shortdale Valley River First Nation 
• Brandy Monkman, 31, from Ebb and Flow First Nation 
• Percy Mousseau, 33, from Ebb and Flow First Nation 

All suspects have been remanded into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, conducted by the Dauphin RCMP in conjunction with CREST.
