Australia and the Solomon Islands share a strong friendship, collaborating to enhance economic development and security in the Pacific. Together, they focus on initiatives that create jobs, build essential infrastructure, combat climate change, and provide educational opportunities for the youth.

Recently, the Governor-General had the honor of welcoming His Excellency the Reverend Sir David Tiva Kapu GCMG, Governor-General of the Solomon Islands, along with Lady Salome Pae Kapu, to Admiralty House in Sydney. Not a valid attachment ID.

During their meeting, the two Governors-General reflected on the robust relationship between their nations. They also discussed the forthcoming Pacific Islands Forum scheduled to take place in Honiara this September. Governor-General Mostyn extended Australia's condolences regarding the recent passing of former Governor-General Sir David Okete Vuvuiri Vunagi GCMG.
