Halton Regional Police have arrested a suspect and brought multiple charges following a violent home invasion in Oakville.

On January 10, 2025, officers from the HRPS responded to an incident on Coronation Drive near John Laird Circle, where three masked individuals broke into a home. They confronted the residents with firearms, demanding valuables, and ultimately made off with a Mercedes SUV.

Thanks to swift police action, the stolen vehicle was quickly located, but the suspects managed to escape and were not immediately apprehended.

After thorough investigation, on March 6, 2025, Numan Khan, a 27-year-old from Etobicoke, was taken into custody. He faces several serious charges including Breaking and Entering, Disguise with Intent, Robbery with a Firearm, Forcible Confinement, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5000.

Authorities are still searching for additional suspects involved in the crime, and the investigation is ongoing.
