Our communities won't stand by while people struggle with addiction and cause harm to themselves or others.This spring, our government will deliver on compassionate care to help those suffering with addiction get their lives back .

-So much legislation coming that we can talk about but i want to talk about one that i know was near and dear to your heart and you did at a press conference earlier this week with minister dan williams talking about the compassionate care act tell us more a premier both about this legislation why think people know that we have seen an acceleration in the number of opioid does especially during
 -Kobe were finally seeing them come down on the other side and there's really two ways that your that you dress that crisis one is through policing and that's part of the reason why we're adding more sheriff's to the streets were having special interdiction teams at the border with sniffer dogs and drones to make sure that we can catch any of this illegal product or it's precursors -coming into the country are going out of the country think that's important for us but also to preserve our relationship of trust with united states but you can't just focus on the law enforcement side he also have to focus on the people who were the victims and those are those are the individuals who get addicted to this deadly deadly drug and so what we've discovered is that there are some -people who can make the choice to go into a recovery pathway on their own that there are many many people who have not been able to i think of the press conference down told a story of somebody who overdosed one hundred and eighty six times last year and that's just not compassionate for a communities to sit around and watch people slowly killing themselves and -and harming others and the and and not being able to get their free agency in their life and their lives back so compassionate intervention is is going to intervene creative process to intervene to order those people into care so they can get the treatment that they need get clear minded have their the brains heal from their addiction and hopefully set them up for our life
