Ahead of the third anniversary of the conflict, Ukrainians in Calgary will gather at city hall.

As the crisis in Ukraine approaches its fourth year, rallies are being planned nationwide at community centres, museums, and city halls to commemorate a global day of action. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC)-Calgary branch has invited all Calgarians to a rally that will be held at city hall at 5 p.m.

The deadliest and biggest European battle since World War II
The invasion has resulted in tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian deaths and hundreds of thousands of military deaths, making it the worst and bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II. Patrick Yamniuk of Calgary's St. Vladimir's Church, around 25,000 Ukrainians have made Calgary their home since 2022. However, they are now worried about what will happen to Ukraine. what will happen before there is peace in the country. However, they are undoubtedly hoping for peace in Ukraine. "Hope never dies," Yamniuk continued. "I believe that when the war started, people were taken aback by the Ukrainians' bravery and tenacity, which made them willing to fight. and have really prevented the conflict to some extent, since things may have turned out far worse.

"This war is wearing us all down."
Opimakh succinctly up the scenario in Calgary as his small son pawed at his face in a playful manner. "Even though we are all weary of this conflict," he stated, "we still require more strength and power because we must fight for the future of our families and our children. Thank you. Events are also happening in Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver, among other locations.
