US arrests more than 500  illegal immigrants, deports hundreds using military planes White House  spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said US authorities have arrested 538 illegal  immigrants and deported hundreds using  hundreds of military  planes using military planes.
US President Donald Trump  attacks "illegal  immigrants". Washington, United States:
With  the rise to power of Donald  Trump, authorities have  begun to track down illegal  immigrants who have  undertaken a  dangerous journey in  search of the American dream. Hundreds of illegal  immigrants have been arrested and deported in a massive operation that comes just three days after the new administration was sworn  in.
Comparing the figures, White House  spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that US authorities have arrested 538 illegal  immigrants and deported hundreds  more with military  airstrikes. "The Trump  administration has arrested 538  criminal illegal  immigrants, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several  illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes against minors," Leavitt said in an online  message on Thursday.  "The Trump administration has also deported hundreds of  criminal illegal  immigrants using military aircraft. The largest  mass deportation operation in history is underway. Promises  were made.  "Promises kept," she  added.
The White House shared a  "brief summary" of the work the Trump administration is doing to  "secure our  nation's borders." It listed the names of some of the people arrested by  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the crimes  they committed. The crimes include rape, sexual conduct  toward a child, and  continued sexual abuse of a child 14  years of age or  younger.
Following his inauguration on January 20, US President Donald Trump signed a series of executive  orders, including one  to "protect the American people  from invasion." The order  says that over the  past four years, the  United States has experienced an unprecedented  influx of illegal immigration.  "Millions of illegal  immigrants have crossed our borders or  been allowed to  enter the United States  directly on commercial flights and  have settled in American communities, in violation of  long-standing federal laws."
The executive order  also states that many of these  "illegal immigrants to the United  States" pose "significant threats to national security and public  safety," committing  heinous and  hateful acts against innocent Americans.
On January 23, the  U.S. Congress gave  the green  light to a  Republican-led bill  — the Laken Riley Act  — to detain and  deport undocumented  immigrants who enter the country without authorization and are charged with certain crimes.
