Vice President Shettima  leaves Nigeria for 2025 World Economic Forum in  Davos.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has  left Abuja to represent Nigeria at the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF)  annual meeting in Davos,  Switzerland.
In a statement issued by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Shettima will engage in high-level discussions with  world leaders,  senior business  leaders and development partners to address pressing economic challenges and explore opportunities for  cooperation.
Vice President Shettima's  agenda includes a  number of  key engagements. Among  them is a  seminar organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, titled "Roadmap  for Co-Creating Investment Opportunities for Africa's Frontier  Markets".

The event,  scheduled to take place at the  Jakobshorn Congress  Centre, aims to  improve capital flows  to Africa's frontier markets, scaling solutions that  foster a prosperous and inclusive  continent.
A highlight of this session will be the announcement of the  Roadmap for Humanitarian and Resilience  Investment (HRI)  in Africa. Driving through Quang  Binh, we will visit breathtaking filming locations
The road map aims to mobilize investment in Africa's frontier markets through strategic partnerships between public and private sector  leaders.
In addition, the Vice President will co-chair a forum titled  "Transforming Digital Trade into a Catalyst for Growth in  Africa", scheduled  to take place at the Pischa  Convention Center.
This forum will focus on  the potential of digital  trade to accelerate economic growth and the role of the private sector in implementing the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol, adopted by  the African Union  Heads of  State in January  2024.
Vice President Shettima will also participate as a  panelist in a  stakeholder dialogue titled "Global Risks  2025". This dialogue will  explore the findings of the Global Risks Report, which  describes an increasingly volatile global landscape characterized by geopolitical, technological, and environmental challenges. The session, to  be held at the Aspen  Convention Center 2, will  provide a platform for leaders to  discuss strategies  to mitigate these  risks. What you  need to know
Several heads of state are expected  at the  WEF 2025.
Vice President Kashim Shettima will join several heads of state,  heads of government, representatives of international  organizations and recipients of the  annual WEF Crystal Awards at a  dinner.
The exclusive event,  which will be held at the Kurpark resort in Eiger, will provide a platform for networking and  promoting strategic  partnerships. Vice President Shettima  will be accompanied by senior government officials, including the Minister of Industry,  Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Aisha  Rimi. Their participation reflects Nigeria's strategic approach to  using the forum  to foster international partnerships and  stimulate investment  opportunities. Nigeria's participation  in the World Economic Forum 2025  is a  testament to the continued focus on attracting global investment,  promoting sustainable  development and advancing digital and trade reforms in line with the African Free Trade Area  (AfCFTA). The Vice President's  engagement at the forum will  further reinforce Nigeria's vision  of economic resilience, technological  advancement and inclusive  growth. Vice President Shettima is expected to return to Abuja at the  end of the forum.
