ARRESTMENT OF SUSPECTED CULTIST AND RECOVERY OF  FIREARMS

Ajuwon Division Police Officer arrested the  cult leader Alora and confiscated a firearm  that was in his possession during a routine search  of the vehicle he was driving at the time of  the arrest.
On January 9, 2025, at about 3:30  p.m., Ajuwon  Police Officers were  on lawful patrol and  conducting a search and seizure along Akute/Olambe  Road when they received information from the public  about two men suspected to be  in a Venza car with  registration number URSMOT AUTOS  dealership 4657DLA.
Immediately upon receiving the  information, the officers pursued the vehicle, which eventually stopped in front of the Osaro  mobile petrol station.
One suspect, identified as Abiodun John, a 25-year-old from Olori area  in Akute,  has been arrested, while another suspect  is still at  large.
During a search of the vehicle, two  locally made pistols and three  loaded cartridges were  found on John. Preliminary investigations have commenced and the suspect with the seized  items has been sent to the  station. The case will soon be  forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigation after preliminary  investigations.
