🇨🇳CHINA  ANNOUNCES MICRO NUCLEAR BATTERY WITH  50 YEARS OF ENERGY SUPPLY
Beijing-based Betavolt has developed a nuclear battery that  can provide continuous power for 50 years without needing  to be recharged.
Weighing less than a  penny, it uses  nickel-63 isotopes to generate electricity, making it ideal for drones, AI  devices, medical  devices and  microprocessors.
Unlike traditional batteries, Betavolt's design is safe,  non-explosive and  environmentally friendly, with the  decaying isotope  being converted into non-radioactive  copper.
The company aims to launch a 1-watt version by  the end of 2025.
Betavolt joins a growing  race for nuclear  power, competing with City  Labs' NanoTritium batteries in the  US, which also  provide decades of power for  low-power devices. Fonte: TheBrighterSide.
