🇨🇦  STUDENT TRAFFICKING: CANADIAN COLLEGES CAUGHT IN  SCANDAL
More than 260 Canadian colleges have been accused of running a racket that turns  students' visas into  permits to cross the U.S.  border.
The scheme allegedly involves students landing in Canada, ghosting their  so-called schools, and  entering the U.S.  illegally, all while the colleges pocket  tuition fees and send the profits to  bad guys overseas.
Canada's "honor-based" immigration system  is more like a  misguided trust, with  lax oversight  that allows shady operations to flourish.
Some of the alleged culprits aren't even real  schools, but  shady establishments with more dust than  offices. Yet, legitimate institutions  continue to turn a blind eye, dependent on the  flow of money from tuition fees. It turns out that the  term "higher education" has a whole new  meaning here.
