The chief of the London Police Service testified today at the Health Committee that hard narcotics funded by taxpayers are being redirected to communities across Canada.

The majority of the more than 30,000 hydromorphone pills that were seized in 2023 came from purported "safe supply" initiatives. He continued by saying that thieves "are targeting Canadians by exchanging these prescriptions for fentanyl, increasing addiction and damage to the community. Furthermore, the police chief acknowledged that vulnerable women are being trafficked and pimped out for their government-supplied opioids, a direct consequence of Trudeau's taxpayer-funded hard drug program. Earlier this year, the London Police Service released data showing a decrease in pharmacy robberies and an increase in drug seizures from Trudeau's taxpayer-funded drug program. 50% of the 30,000 hydromorphone pills found in 2023 were found to contain this drug, up from 25% of the 5,000 tablets found in 2021. Trudeau has refused to rule out legalizing hard drugs in Ontario and other parts of Canada despite this obvious proof of failure, which the chief stated he opposes
 Once-safe Canadian communities have only seen violence, turmoil, death, and disorder as a result of the NDP-Liberals' risky drug trials. Only conservatives with common sense will put an end to these lethal trials and send our loved ones home drug-free.
