Set to present the 97th Academy Awards is Conan O'Brien.

In a statement released on Friday, Academy President Janet Yang and Academy CEO Bill Kramer said, "We are ecstatic and honoured to have the incomparable Conan O'Brien host the Oscars this year." "With his great sense of humour, passion for movies, and experience with live television, he is the ideal person to help lead our global celebration of film." His extraordinary ability to engage audiences will unite viewers to celebrate this year's outstanding films and filmmakers, which is what the Oscars do best.


In his statement, O'Brien, of course, made a joke about it.

"Conan is a master of live event television and possesses all the traits of a great Oscars host: he is hilarious, charming, and incredibly witty."

The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood will host the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, 2025. ABC will broadcast the event live.
