Police say the shooting was targeted as gunfire breaks out in northwest Calgary.

A gunshot occurred Wednesday night in the northwest of Calgary, and police are looking into the incident.

Around 9:30 p.m., it took place in the 200 block of Nolan Hill Drive NW.

When police got on the scene, they found traces of gunfire after receiving many 911 calls about a shooting.

No information about the victims was provided.

According to police, the investigation indicates that this was a targeted incident and that the public is not currently in danger.

The incident is still being investigated.
