Legislature focused on the importance of connecting with communities across Alberta

Having His Excellency Whit Fraser and Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, visit Alberta was a privilege.

The importance of establishing connections with communities around Alberta, including the Governor General's recent visit to Jasper to discuss recovery efforts with locals, was the main topic of our meeting in the Legislature. As we considered the significance of Her Excellency's position as the first Indigenous Governor General, we also talked about reconciliation and the advancements being made across Canada.
