Following a search of a hotel room in Olds, Alberta, police found hundreds of grams of illegal substances.

According to the RCMP, investigators were called to a hotel room as a result of an ongoing drug investigation. They had a conversation with the person who had welcomed them inside.

The cops saw what they thought to be fentanyl when they entered the room. The room was seized after the individual who was staying there was taken into custody.

680 illicit cigarettes, roughly 560 grams of suspected fentanyl, slightly less than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and other goods frequently utilized in drug trafficking were found.
A 25-year-old Olds resident has been charged with possession with intent to traffic as a consequence of the investigation mischief as well as two provincial crimes involving the illegal smokes.

He was freed following a hearing and is expected to be up at Didsbury court on October 21.
