In a disturbing incident on Friday, August 15, a Calgary Transit bus driver narrowly avoided harm when three youths allegedly pointed a weapon at her in the Rundle area. The quick thinking and swift response of the Calgary Police Department ensured the suspects were apprehended and no one was injured.

According to reports, the bus driver was approached by the three youths, aged 13 and 11, as they exited the bus at the Rundle CTrain station. The trio reportedly struck the side of the bus before pointing a gun at the driver, prompting her to alert authorities.

Responding to the distress call, officers rapidly located the suspects on a southbound train preparing to depart from the Rundle CTrain station. Police intervened just in time, stopping the train and taking the youths into custody.

Upon searching the individuals, authorities seized two replica firearms and a knife. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and cooperation between citizens, transit officials, and law enforcement in maintaining public safety.
