🇨🇦Canada to Invest $2.5 Billion in Satellite Broadband; Elon Claims Starlink Could Cover Half of That

Telesat Lightspeed is a satellite constellation that Canada and Quebec are investing $2.5 billion in to provide broadband service to far-flung areas.

However, Elon claims that by utilizing its current constellation of more than 5,000 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, Starlink could offer the same service "for less than half the cost."

By 2026, Telesat plans to launch 198 satellites, while Starlink's network is presently up and running, serving millions of people worldwide.

Well, that makes sense.
