As Commander-in-Chief, the Governor-General holds in high regard the opportunity to connect with Australian Defence Force members and their families stationed overseas.

These meetings provide a valuable chance to express gratitude for their commitment, resilience, and the substantial sacrifices they make in service to our nation, often while far from home. This week, the Governor-General visited ADF personnel in Singapore and took part in a special ceremony to present Petty Officer Dani Collins with the Australian Operational Service Medal, recognizing her contributions to Operation Lilia—Australia's support mission in the Solomon Islands in 2023.
