As the trade landscape continues to shift, Saskatchewan's economic well-being hangs in the balance. The recent tariffs imposed by the Trump administration have sparked widespread concern, and rightly so. While the immediate impact may seem limited, affecting a mere six percent of our province's exports, the far-reaching consequences threaten to upend the very fabric of our communities.

I've witnessed firsthand the ripple effects of these tariffs across Saskatchewan, and the reality is stark. Businesses, large and small, are facing unprecedented uncertainty. Jobs that were once considered secure are now precariously perched on the edge of extinction. The livelihoods of our friends, family, and neighbors are at stake.

Make no mistake, this is not a minor issue to be taken lightly. The fate of our economy, our people, and our way of life hangs precariously in the balance. It is imperative that our leaders, including Scott Moe, stand firm and demonstrate unwavering commitment to protecting Saskatchewan's interests.

We must engage in constructive dialogue with our national and international partners to prioritize job protection and find innovative solutions to mitigate the effects of these tariffs. Anything less would be a dereliction of duty to the people of Saskatchewan. The time for strong leadership and decisive action is now. We cannot afford to wait and see; we must act with conviction to safeguard our province's future.
