Carla Beck: We would love to have Chappell Roan move to Saskatchewan

As we celebrate our community spirit with parades and backyard concerts, let's not forget the importance of protecting our province's assets. We're thrilled to imagine Chappell Roan calling Saskatchewan home, and we'd be happy to help her find a great place to settle.

However, as we enjoy these lighthearted moments, we must remain vigilant about the future of our Crowns. It's concerning to learn that appointees to the boards of our Crowns have donated $170,000 to Sask. Party election warchests, and some have even supported the sale of our publicly-owned corporations.

This is unacceptable. Our Crowns are a vital part of our heritage, and their management should prioritize the greater good of our citizens, not the interests of a select few. We cannot allow our province's future to be dictated by who writes the biggest cheque to the Sask. Party.

It's time to take a stand and fight for a better tomorrow. Let's work together to create a future where our Crowns serve the people, not just the privileged few.
