Alberta Parks has issued a bear warning for several campgrounds in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park due to increased bear activity in the area.

The affected campgrounds include:

1. Canyon Campground
2. Boulton Creek Campground
3. Lower Lake Campground
4. Lower Lake Group Campground
5. Interlakes Campground
6. William Watson Lodge and Campground

Please take necessary precautions when camping in these areas:

- Store all food, garbage, and scented items in your vehicle or in designated bear-proof lockers.
- Keep campsites clean and free of food debris.
- Cook and eat in designated cooking areas away from tents.
- Do not leave food or garbage out in the open.
- Avoid cooking food with strong odors, such as fish or bacon.
- Do not feed or approach wildlife.
- Keep a clean campfire and extinguish it properly before leaving the area.
- Make noise while hiking and carry bear spray.
- Know what to do in the event of a bear encounter.
