Among the arrestees were three major drug dealers known for their illicit activities within the area. The suspects are currently undergoing screening to determine the appropriate legal actions to be taken against them. According to the State Drug Control Focal Person, Saidu Jakusko, the individuals who are indigenes of Yobe might be offered rehabilitation services, while non-indigenes will be extradited to their respective states.

Jakusko expressed his gratitude to the security agencies involved in the operation and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to effectively address the drug problem. The goal is to ensure that the state remains free from the destructive impact of substance abuse and to promote the overall well-being of the community, especially the younger generation. This coordinated approach underscores the commitment of the government and local stakeholders to tackle the issue of drug abuse head-on and create a safer and healthier environment for residents.
