"NSW Leaders of the Future Take Centre Stage at Government House

Last week, a group of exceptional senior high school students from the Y NSW Youth Parliament programme visited Government House to model an Executive Council meeting and Address in Reply. This unique opportunity allowed them to delve deeper into the Constitutional role of the Governor and the inner workings of Parliament.

As part of the Youth Parliament programme, these young leaders had already immersed themselves in the processes of parliamentary democracy during a mock sitting week in Parliament House. They engaged with legislative creation, debated policies, and developed their own bills, guided by invited Members of Parliament.

The future looks bright with these talented individuals at the helm. Congratulations to this year's cohort of Youth Parliamentarians, who are undoubtedly destined to become leaders of tomorrow. The Y NSW is proud to support the development of young people who will shape the future of our state."
