Missing Mother and Daughter Found Safe on Vancouver Island

The Comox Valley RCMP is pleased to announce that the 30-year-old mother and her 4-year-old daughter, who were reported missing from Cochrane, Alberta on July 12, 2025, have been safely located. Following an extensive investigation and search efforts, the RCMP received a crucial lead on July 23, which indicated that the pair was spotted using an ATM in Courtenay on July 18.

Through the diligent work of law enforcement and the invaluable support of the public and media, the mother and daughter were finally found safe and sound. The RCMP would like to extend its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful outcome of this case, including the citizens who provided vital information and the media outlets that helped spread the word about the missing pair.
