Alberta’s government has signed a new agreement with Legal Aid Alberta

The government of Alberta has reaffirmed its strong commitment to helping vulnerable Albertans in need of legal assistance by entering into a new agreement with Legal Aid Alberta and the Law Society of Alberta.

We acknowledge that accessing justice can be extremely challenging due to financial hurdles, and we want to reassure Albertans that Legal Aid will remain available.

This new agreement maintains Legal Aid's financial accountability and sustainability while strengthening access to justice.
