The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria has reportedly discovered and raided a cybercrime training academy, known as 'Yahoo-Yahoo Hustle Kingdom', located in Umuahia, Abia State. The operation, which took place on July 18, 2025, resulted in the arrest of 23 individuals. Eight of those apprehended were said to be undergoing training in the academy, while the remaining fifteen were found in various locations around the city.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 30, were identified as follows: Toona Henry, Tavershima Solomon, Chi Orseer James, Ubee Benjamin, Gabriel Ibe Ifeanyi, Tindue Godwin, Muhammed Terwase Micheal, Destiny Andrew, Okezie Almond, Precious Osmond, Kenneth Prospect, Iweobi Chika Augustine, Nedolisa Victor, Kanu Austin, Anolu David, Collins Chinedu, Joshua Nnamdi, Ogechi Chibuzor, Michael Chinonso, Prince Chigozie, Festus Nwogu, Michael Lazarus, and Kingsley Ndubuisi.

The training center was found to be equipped with fifteen laptops and 34 mobile phones, which were confiscated by the EFCC as part of the evidence. The suspects are believed to be involved in various cybercrimes, including internet fraud and money laundering, commonly referred to as 'yahoo-yahoo' in Nigerian vernacular, which is a term for scams typically involving emails to deceive victims into sending money or disclosing sensitive information.
