On June 21th 2025. At 10:10 P.M. Edt, Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following regions:

- Deep River
- Eastern Algonquin Park
- Lake Of Two Rivers
- Western Algonquin Park
- Whitney

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong to intense rainfall, very strong wind gusts, large hailstones, and possibly a tornado.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that the conditions are highly favorable for severe thunderstorms in or near the specified area. Monitor weather information and be prepared to take action should a severe thunderstorm warning be issued.

Severe thunderstorms are dangerous. They can produce tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and flooding. Lightning is a serious threat, even when the storm seems distant.

If a severe thunderstorm warning is issued for your area:
- Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
- If outside, move to a safe shelter such as a building or a vehicle.
- Avoid windows, doors, and metal objects.
- Do not go under trees.
- If you are in a car, stop safely at the side of the road, but stay in your car.
- If you are on the water, get to shore immediately.
- Avoid non-essential travel.
- Keep emergency kits and important documents ready and easily accessible.
