The Ogun State Government has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and national unity as it welcomed 2,578 Corps Members deployed to the state for the 2025 Batch 'A' Stream II Orientation Course.

The ceremony, which held on Friday at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, was not just a swearing-in event but a reaffirmation of the state's developmental agenda that places young people at the heart of its future.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Sports Development, emphasized the state's vision to harness the energy, innovation, and patriotism of Nigerian youths through structured opportunities for growth, leadership, and civic responsibility. He described the NYSC scheme as a crucial national platform that not only fosters unity but also grooms future leaders.

"Our administration views Corps Members as co-builders of the Gateway State. You are not here by coincidence but by divine design to contribute meaningfully to Ogun's socio-economic advancement," the Governor stated.

He highlighted the state's major investments in sectors such as agriculture, digital economy, education, and entrepreneurship, encouraging the Corps Members to tap into these opportunities as part of their service year.

The Governor further reiterated the role of the NYSC orientation course in preparing Corps Members for the challenges and responsibilities ahead, urging them to remain focused, disciplined, and purposeful.

In her welcome address, the NYSC Ogun State Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Diana Nasamu, applauded the Corps Members for their quick adaptation to the camp environment. She expressed confidence in their ability to successfully complete the orientation programme and contribute meaningfully to their host communities.

The administration of the NYSC Oath of Allegiance, led by the Chief Judge of Ogun State, represented by Hon. Justice Adetokunbo Jibodu, was the highlight of the event, officially ushering the new Corps Members into their year of national service.
