This latest iteration of Samsung's user interface is designed to enhance the AI experience on Galaxy devices, providing a more personalized and convenient interaction with your smartphone.

One UI 8 is optimized to work with the unique form factors of Samsung's foldable devices, offering a seamless and efficient experience tailored to each user. It introduces an advanced multimodal AI that can understand what you're looking at or watching, allowing for more intuitive and natural interactions. For instance, the Now Bar and Now Brief will provide context-aware information and curated suggestions to support your daily routines.

The software upgrade also includes Auracast, a new feature that allows for easier audio sharing through QR code scanning and sharing, enabling multiple Auracast devices to connect to a single audio stream. Furthermore, the Reminder app has been improved with a more user-friendly interface and voice activation for hands-free note-taking.

In terms of device connectivity, One UI 8 features enhanced Quick Share capabilities, which allow for instant file sharing with a single tap of the Quick Share button in the Quick settings panel. This upgrade will also bring a new level of security with Samsung Knox Vault, which combines a dedicated secure processor with secure memory to protect sensitive data and ensure privacy.

The beta program is now open for users with a Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra in the U.S., Germany, Korea, and the U.K., offering early access to the latest features and improvements. The official rollout of One UI 8 is set to coincide with the release of these new foldable devices this summer, with the software expected to be available for additional Galaxy models in the future.
