"Despite the ups and downs, we have successfully repaid all our loans and repatriated our profit," the chairman and CEO of Dangote Industries Ltd. told reporters on Saturday in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, announced a $400 million plan to revive a second production line at the Mugher cement plant in Ethiopia, with the goal of doubling the facility's annual capacity to 5 million tons. The Ethiopian plant, which began operations in 2015, has faced difficulties, including frequent violence in the area, which caused protesters to vandalize vehicles and machinery.
