Today, I had the chance to ride the Hayabusa high-speed train from Tokyo to Sapporo. With a peak speed of 320 km/h, Shinkansen trains enable both residents and visitors to travel across Japan in just a matter of hours. Imagine if Alberta had a similar train! We could travel between Calgary and Edmonton in under an hour! We are in the process of creating a Passenger Rail Master Plan for the province.
