"Today, we are thrilled to welcome 23 new police officers to our team from Class 263! These talented individuals bring with them a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience that will undoubtedly enhance our ability to serve and protect our community.

Notably, an impressive 63% of Class 263 have completed post-secondary education in fields such as criminal justice, criminology, and communications. Furthermore, many of them have accumulated valuable experience in roles such as corrections officers, security personnel, and even firefighters and military personnel.

What's more, a significant 21% of our new recruits are multilingual, speaking languages including Mandarin, French, German, and Portuguese, among others. This linguistic diversity will undoubtedly prove invaluable in our efforts to engage with and serve our community.

Throughout their intensive 6-month recruit training, these officers have consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community. As they prepare to take on their new roles as patrol members in our districts, we have every confidence that they will excel in their duties and make a tangible difference in the lives of our citizens.
