The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is treating the death of a woman found with life-threatening injuries in central Edmonton as suspicious.

The incident occurred on May 16, 2025, when officers responded to reports of an assault around 11 a.m. at the intersection of 102 Street and 110 Avenue. Upon arrival, they found two women, one of whom had severe injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The second woman's injuries were less serious.

The suspect fled the scene before police could arrive and remains unknown. The EPS Homicide Section is now handling the investigation, which includes a scheduled autopsy for Monday to determine the cause of death.
