The Saskatchewan NDP expresses solidarity with Ukraine. It was a pleasure to meet Yulia Kovaliv at the Saskatchewan Legislature earlier this week.

Our province is home to tens of thousands of individuals with Ukrainian heritage, which is why we have proposed legislation to officially designate September as Ukrainian Heritage Month. We now seek the cooperation of the Sask. Party to facilitate the passage of this bill. Carl Beck of Saskatchewan also advocates for the continued welcoming and support of refugees affected by Putin's unlawful invasion. We appreciate Ambassador Kovaliv for addressing our Caucus on these important issues.
